President To Lam visits Star Telecom Company
(VOVWORLD) - As part of his State visit to the Lao People's Democratic Republic, President To Lam, and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, visited Star Telecom (Unitel), a joint venture of the Military Industry and Telecoms Group (Viettel) in Laos on Thursday.

President To Lam commended achievements of Star Telecom, urging it to be a pioneer in the digital transformation process in Laos and to actively participate in providing digital transformation and information technology products to the National Assembly, Government, Ministries, and sectors in Laos. This, he noted, would contribute to promoting and effectively implementing Laos's digital transformation strategy.
President To Lam urged the company to continue implementing social security programs, contributing to the community, and spreading cultural values to businesses in Laos, especially Vietnamese businesses operating in the country.
He also emphasized the importance of healthy competition, encouraging the Star Telecom joint venture to remain a symbol and model of economic cooperation between Laos and Vietnam.
