President Tran Dai Quang awarded promotions to general officers
(VOVWORLD) -President Tran Dai Quang awarded promotions to Vietnam People’s Army officers at a ceremony in Hanoi on Friday.
Phan Van Giang, Chief of the General Staff and Deputy Defense Minister, and Nguyen Trong Nghia, Deputy Head of the Vietnam People’s Army’s General Department of Politics, are promoted from lieutenant general to senior lieutenant general. Tran Viet Khoa, Director of the Vietnam Academy of Defense, is promoted from the rank of major general to lieutenant general.
Addressing the event, President Quang said that this is in recognition of the Party and State for the officers’ contributions to the development of the Vietnam People’s Army.
