(VOVworld) - President Truong Tan Sang visited Tanzania’s Benjamin special economic zone in Dar Es Salaam on Thursday. Speaking during the visit, the President praised Tanzania’s economic development strategy and its achievement in mobilizing resources for exports. He pledged sharing Vietnam’s experience to help boost Tanzania’s success.

The President visited Halotel premises, which is a joint venture by Vietnamese Viettel group in Tanzania. Halotel is the 6th telecom network in Tanzania but the only with nationwide 3G coverage.
Earlier on Wednesday, the President received Tanzania’s Vice President Ali Mohamed Shein, and President of the Zanzibar semi-autonomous zone. President Sang said Vietnam is willing to cooperate with Tanzania in potential areas, including agriculture, aquaculture and telecommunications. He called for more cooperation between Zanzibar and Vietnam's coastal provinces in tourism, agriculture and fisheries. The Tanzanian Vice President wished to learn from Vietnam’s experience in rice cultivation and fishing. He welcomed Vietnamese businesses to come and invest in areas of mutual cooperative potential.
