President urges mobilizing resources to support the poor during Tet
(VOVWORLD) -President Nguyen Xuan Phuc has supported the Vietnam Red Cross Society’s initiate to mobilize resources to ensure an enjoyable Tet, Lunar New Year festival, for the poor.

The Red Cross aims to help 1 million poor people and those in difficult circumstances on the occasion of the 2023 Tet holiday.
Speaking at a working session with the Society on Wednesday, the President, who is also the Society Honorary President, praised its timely support for those affected by floods in the central region.
He congratulated the Society’s hosting of the Asia-Pacific Red Cross and Red Crescent conference next year and called for thorough preparations to mobilize international resources to support the poor and other disadvantaged groups.
