(VOVworld) – President Truong Tan Sang has praised the achievements of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN) over the past 40 years. During his visit to the group on Monday, President Sang lauded the 35 billion USD group for expanding its oil and gas cooperation with the rest of the world.  He suggested that the group speed up equitization to expand investment and production, successfully implement the strategy on the marine economy and complete the outstanding oil refinery projects in Nghi Son, Dung Quat and Long Son. Sang also called on PVN to promote the effective model of cooperation with Russia in order to boost oil and gas production in other countries.

This year, PVN aims to exploit nearly 17 million tons of crude oil and earn 670 trillion VND, while continuing to expand joint-exploitation with other countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America.
