President wants to Quang Ninh to become international tourism, marine economy hub
(VOVWORLD) - Quang Ninh province marked its 60th founding anniversary with the largest-ever ceremony in its history, involving 10,000 people including 4,000 artists and performers.

Addressing the celebration on Saturday, State President Vo Van Thuong urged the northern border province to become a dynamic and comprehensive center, an international tourism and marine economy hub, and the gateway of the northern key economic region and the whole country.
To this end, Quang Ninh should strengthen Party discipline, accelerate the fight against corruption and negativity, promote democracy and national unity, and consolidate people’s trust in the authorities, President Thuong said.
Other important tasks include improving the quality of cadres and building a strong working class.
Mr. Thuong suggested that economic development go hand in hand with social and cultural development, and social progress and equity.
