(VOVWORLD) - President Tran Dai Quang hosted separate receptions in Hanoi on Tuesday for newly-appointed ambassadors of Sudan, Peru, Zambia, Afghanistan, Namibia and Bolivia.

At his meeting with Sudanese Ambassador Mohamed Elmurtada Mubarak Ismail Siraq, President Quang suggested the two sides seek ways to boost cooperation in trade, investment, agriculture, aquaculture, oil and gas, and telecommunications. President Quang took this occasion to ask the ambassador to convey his invitation to Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir to visit Vietnam. 

Welcoming Peruvian Ambassador Augusto Morelli Salgado, President Quang held that in the coming time, the two nations should promote existing cooperation mechanisms, while expanding cooperative ties in new areas.

Speaking at the reception for Zambian Ambassador Walubita Imakando, President Quang said Vietnam is willing to share experiences in national development, especially in agriculture, to assist Zambia in ensuring food security.

In the meeting with Afghan Ambassador Janan Mosazai, the Vietnamese leader expressed his hope for stronger partnership between the two countries in the future and affirmed that Vietnam stands ready to share experiences in national construction and development with Afghanistan. Meeting Namibian Ambassador Elia George Kaiyamo, President Quang called for Namibia’s support to Vietnam’s bid to run for a non-permanent membership in the UN Security Council in the 2020-2021 term.

At the reception for Bolivian Ambassador Heriberto Quispe Charca, the State leader proposed that Vietnam and Bolivia should increase delegation exchanges to reinforce political trust, while continue negotiating new cooperation deals in all fields.
