President Phuc, who leads the Project’s  Steering Committee, said that it aims to build a socialist rule of law state in Vietnam of the people, by the people and for the people, under the leadership of the Party; protect the legitimate interests of the people; and promote the role of judicial support agencies.

The Party has promulgated multiple policies on human rights, defining human rights as a humane, progressive and universal value of all humanity, especially since the national renewal, the President said and asked the lawyers to uphold the sense of responsibility and contribute more to national renewal.
