This trip will allow Vietnam and Austria to enhance their developing relations and provide an opportunity for President Thuong to work with representatives from multilateral diplomatic forums and affirm Vietnam’s position in the international arena, according to Ambassador Kien.

President Thuong will meet Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen  and President of the Federal Council Claudia Arpa, and have working sessions with the Mayors of Vienna and Burgenland.

He will also have meetings and working sessions with representatives of international organizations, including the Acting Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Ambassador Kien said there is ample room to expand bilateral cooperation in economy, trade, investment, science, and technology, which is Austria’s strength.
