The Anti-Corruption Law stipulates the expansion of anti-corruption activities to the non-State sector. An additional chapter was included exclusively to specify and promote the role of leaders in agencies, organisations and units in the anti-corruption effort. The law will come into effect from July, 2019.

The Law on protection of State secrets which will take effect from July 2020 includes a new provision stipulating the term of the protection of State secrets from 10 to 30 years to ensure the citizens’ right of accessing information.

The Law on Vietnam coast guard defines the role and position of the Vietnamese coast guard as the people’s armed forces and specialised forces of the State, playing a core role in enforcing laws, protecting national security, and maintaining order and safety at sea.
