President’s visits to Ethiopia, Egypt create momentum for bilateral ties

(VOVWORLD) - Deputy Foreign Minister Vu Hong Nam has told the press that President Tran Dai Quang’s week-long trips to Ethiopia and Egypt were successful in many aspects,and have generated new momentum for bilateral ties.

Ethiopia and Egypt extended a warm and cordial welcome for President Quang, with the highest level for a head of state. Mr. Quang’s meetings with with the Presidents, Prime Ministers, and Speakers of the Parliament, took place in a friendly, open, and trustful manner. Joint statements between Vietnam and Ethiopia, as well as Vietnam and Egypt, have set major orientations and foundations for enhancing bilateral ties in the future.

Deputy Foreign Minister Nam said President Quang visited the African Union’s headquarters in Adis Abiba in Ethiopia, and held discussions with its acting Chairwoman on measures to strengthen cooperation in economics, trade, and investment between Vietnam and the African Union.
