Press award marks the Vietnam National Assembly’s 70th anniversary

(VOVworld) – The press follow the National Assembly to make the legislative body more familiar to voters nationwide, Nguyen Hanh Phuc, Head of the National Assembly office, told a meeting in Hanoi on Monday to review and present awards to mark the National Assembly’s 70th anniversary that Phuc said the awards illustrate ever closer relations between the media and the National Assembly.

Awards were given for reporting that revealed diverse aspects of the legislative body truthfully and proposed new mechanisms in legislation, supervisory activities, and decision making.

Launched by the National Assembly Office and the Vietnam Journalists’ Association, the awards honor outstanding journalists and their reporting on National Assembly activities and achievements over the past 70 years. 34 outstanding pieces of journalism selected from approximately 400 entries will receive awards.
