Addressing the 76th national public security conference in Ho Chi Minh city on Monday, the Prime Minister affirmed that the police’s efforts have contributed to realizing Vietnam's socio-economic development goals.

He underlined the efforts of the public security force in curbing crimes, including corruption, “black” credit, drug trafficking, online gambling, and trade fraud.

He especially praised the sector for ensuring religious security in “hotspots”, saying that coordination between the police force and the Government Committee for Religious Affairs in the work has proven effective.

While acknowledging and praising the sector’s determination to speed up a project to build a national population database and another project to simplify administrative procedures and citizenship papers, the Prime Minister spoke highly of the launch of the public service portal of the Ministry of Public Security, saying that this will result in fundamental changes to residential management.

On the occasion, he pressed a button to launch the ministry’s portal, which provides 289 online administrative procedures at level 2 and above.
