(VOVworld) – Romanian Prime Minister Victor Ponta on Sunday conceded defeat in a presidential run-off against opposition candidate Klaus Iohannis, the mayor of Sibiu.

There has been no official result, but exit polls showed Iohannis with a slight lead over Ponta. The distance between the two candidates will probably be greater when the official result is announced.
