(VOVworld) – A speech by Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung entitled “Vietnam-France strategic partnership: building strategic trust for peace, cooperation and prosperity” has impressed French scholars.

Gregoire Postel-Vinay, Head of the Observatory of Industrial Strategies, France’s Ministry of Economy, Finance, and Industry, said: "The Vietnamese Prime Minister clarified the Vietnam-France strategic partnership with details of cooperation fields, a cooperation plan, and balanced development. Dung cited historical relations and cultural similarities as a firm foundation for bilateral ties and stated prospects for cooperation, particularly in peace activities – the goal and desire of human beings. I think Vietnam and France will see fruitful cooperation in fields Dung listed, such as energy, food safety, and infrastructure. I was particularly impressed by his answers addressing different concerns."

Francoise Nicolas is charge of Asian Studies at the French Institute of International Relations. He said: "The Prime Minister highlighted close Vietnam-France links, cultural exchanges, and educational cooperation, which have been of great importance to developing relations in the past and the future. His speech reflected a long-term, optimistic vision. His well-prepared presentation specified potential fields for cooperation. The Q&A session was particularly impressive for his open-minded, sincere, detailed, answers."
