"Vietnam is keen to promote investment cooperation with France"

(VOVworld) - Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has stressed that Vietnam is keen to promote investment cooperation with France in areas of mutual strength. At a dialogue on Wednesday with France’s major economic groups at the headquarters of the “Movement of the Enterprises of France” known as MEDEF International- the largest union of employers in the country, Dung introduced Vietnam’s potential and policies regarding foreign investment attraction and expressed hope that French investors would discover a wealth of business opportunities in the Vietnamese market and so become an important part of Vietnam’s development process. He said he hoped that Vietnamese products, through the French market, would become widely known and recognized by EU and global consumers. In response to French investors’ queries about the investment environment in Vietnam, Dung said that the Vietnamese Government has adopted incentive policies and mechanisms which would provide sufficient incentives to socio-economic development. He said Vietnam’s priority was given to diversifying energy supplies by developing new energy resources such as renewable energy, bio-energy and nuclear power. Dung stressed that the Vietnamese Government was willing to create favorable conditions for French investors and consultants to become involved in transport projects, using ODA funding and preferential credits from international organizations.
