Prime Minister departs for COP28, official visit to Turkey

(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh left Hanoi on Tuesday to attend the 28th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP28) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and pay an official visit to Turkey.

COP28 is the world’s most important multilateral event on climate change this year. The gathering from November 30 to December 12 is expected to draw 70,000 delegates including 100 heads of state and Prime Ministers from 197 countries as well as representatives of international organizations and civil societies.

During his trip from Wednesday to Sunday, PM Chinh will deliver speeches at various sessions and forums and meet with leaders of countries and executives in the UAE and Turkey to discuss cooperation in trade, investment, technology, clean energy, digital transformation, and innovation.

Vietnam is celebrating 45 years of diplomatic ties with Turkey and 30 years with the UAE.
