The PM asked Hai Phong to invest more in infrastructure in Kien Thuy district to facilitate local growth, while suggesting the district to improve local workers’ skills and productivity. He also required the locality to use land more effectively and pay attention to tourism services to make the best use of local advantages. Mr. Phuc said: “Despite difficulties, efforts should be made to capitalize on advantages. The abundant workforce should shift their jobs from agriculture to industry by mechanization and improving skills and productivity. Land should be used more effectively, while eco-tourism and resorts, and other services should be developed. The system of roads and waterways should be upgraded. Kien Thuy must seize opportunities brought about by the opening of a coastal transport route to thrive.”

As part of his working trip to Hai Phong, Prime Minister Phuc attended a ceremony to inaugurate three air routes by Bamboo Airways between: from Hai Phong to Quy Nhon, Ho Chi Minh city, and Can Tho city. Bamboo Airways now operates a total of 20 domestic air routes and will open more flights to Asian countries. Dang Tat Thang, CEO of Bamboo Airways, said the opening of the new air services are part of the airline’s roadmap to operate between 37 and 40 domestic and international air routes this year. The new air routes are expected to establish a value chain that attracts more tourists to the locality, Mr Thang noted.
