(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has left Hanoi for Kuala Lumpur to attend the 26^th ASEAN summit from April 26-27 at the invitation of Prime Minister Najib Tun Abdul Razak.


At the summit themed “Our people, our community, our vision”, leaders of 10 ASEAN countries will discuss orientations and measures to enhance ASEAN connectivity, strengthen ASEAN institutions, and elevate the bloc’s role in the region. They will focus on the establishment of the ASEAN Community in 2015 and building the ASEAN Community’s Post-2015 Vision.
As an active and responsible member, Vietnam will contribute initiatives to improve ASEAN’s connectivity, unity, and its role in ensuring peace, security, cooperation, and development in the region.
