Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung visits Houaphan province, Laos

He offered incense at the monument of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers who died in northern Laos and Houaphan province during the resistance wars against France and the US. On Friday morning, the Prime Minister laid wreath at the monument of President Kaysone Phomvihane and participated at a grounding breaking ceremony of a revolutionary exhibition house funded by the Viet Laos Bank to symbolize both countries’ revolutionary and special solidarity. He hoped that the province will facilitate Vietnamese business operation for investment and trade cooperation in Laos. The Prime Minister and his Laotian counterpart Thoongsing Thammavong and representatives from Vietnam’s Hoang Anh-Gia Lai Group participated at a ground-breaking ceremony for Nongkhang International Airport construction the project with an investment capital of US$80 million.
