(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc attended a ceremony in Bac Giang City on Saturday to promote lychee exports to major markets.

Bac Giang province currently has more than 50,000 ha of lychee farming, with output likely to reach 160,000 tonnes in 2020, which is the first year the local fruit was granted import permission by Japanese authorities. The province has targeted major markers including the US, Thailand and Japan.
