Prime Minister Chinh said that the situation remains highly complicated, with historic flooding levels, causing severe human and material losses. The Prime Minister requested more accurate and practical forecasting and close coordination with other countries for effective storm monitoring and prevention while urgently mobilizing all available resources to help affected communities.

“It’s necessary to continue mobilizing all forces and vehicles to reach areas cut off by floods to deliver food, fresh water, medicines, and other essential supplies. For places inaccessible by road or waterways, air transport must be used. Under no circumstances should people go hungry, lack clothing, or suffer from cold,” Mr. Chinh said.

The Prime Minister also ordered increased deployment of military, police, and youth union forces to help people clean up homes, improve sanitation, repair damaged houses, and arrange temporary shelters for people.
