(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Chinese Premier Li Qiang held talks on Tuesday evening during the 46th ASEAN Summit and related meetings in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Prime Minister Chinh urged the two sides to maintain regular high-level exchanges and enhance economic, trade, and investment cooperation. He emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation in science, technology, and innovation, making these areas key drivers and highlights of bilateral relations.
Prime Minister Chinh proposed prioritize advancing railway cooperation, expressing Vietnam's determination to commence construction of the Lao Cai–Hanoi–Hai Phong railway line within this year. Prime Minister Chinh called on China to support the project through preferential credit, technology transfer, and human resource training.
Premier Li Qiang agreed with the proposed areas of cooperation and affirmed that the Chinese Government is committed and ready to work with the Vietnamese Government to implement and realize the shared perceptions agreed by the top leaders of the two Parties and countries.
