Prime Minister receives Chinese investors in Vietnam

(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on Friday received a delegation of Chinese investors operating in Vietnam’s textile and automobile industries.

The Prime Minister said that the government and provincial authorities do listen to investors’ inputs to better facilitate business environment.

China has been Vietnam’s largest import market and the 2nd largest export market with a two-way trade turnover of over 120 billion USD last year. Both have cooperated well in tourism with 6 million Chinese tourists visiting Vietnam, he said.

The Prime Minister hailed bilateral cooperation in the fight against Covid-19 and the resumption of some commercial flights with China is under consideration.

The Chinese business representatives expressed their strong confidence in the government’s determination in targeting the dual objectives of epidemic control and economic development as well as opportunities brought up by the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement and Investment Protection Agreement and the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership .
