(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on Wednesday received Pakistan’s new ambassador to Vietnam Zaigham Uddin Azam.
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung expressed his pleasure at the development of bilateral relations in recent years and said that both countries should continue to tap each other’s potential for mutual development. He said that the Vietnamese government encouraged Pakistani businesses to invest in Vietnam and hoped that Pakistan would facilitate Vietnamese businesses who wanted to expand their investments there. Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung proposed that both countries open direct flights to promote trade, investment and tourism.
The Pakistani ambassador pledged to do his utmost to boost cooperation between the two countries particularly in the areas of leather tanning, food processing, fisheries, healthcare, agriculture, national defense, and security.
