Prime Minister visits Austria, meets overseas Vietnamese

(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc arrived in Vienna on Sunday to begin an official visit to Austria.

During a meeting with the Vietnamese embassy staff and Vietnamese community representatives the same day, Prime Minister Phuc said overseas Vietnamese are an inseparable part of the Vietnamese nation. 

“Vietnamese can learn from Europe’s advanced science and technology. Vietnam welcomes with open arms all overseas Vietnamese who want to contribute to their homeland,” Mr. Phuc noted.  

The Vietnamese Prime Minister will hold talks with his Austrian counterpart Sebastian Kurz, witness the signing of a number of cooperation agreements, and attend a joint press conference. He is scheduled to meet with several senior Austrian leaders, deliver a speech at the Vietnam-Austria Business Forum and visit a number of education and training facilities. Mr. Phuc will attend the 12th Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM 12) Summit and the Partnering for Green Growth and Global Goals 2030 Summit (P4G), and pay official visits to Belgium and Denmark, and a working visit to the European Union (EU).
