Prime Minister visits France, attends UN General Assembly meeting

After the 3-day visit, Dung will lead a delegation to the High-level Meetings of the 68th Session of the United Nations General Assembly. His attendance will be part of Vietnam‘s policy to further international integration and demonstrates that Vietnam is an active and responsible UN member. It will also promote relations between Vietnam and the UN in general and the UN agencies in particular. The Prime Minister is scheduled to deliver a speech to share Vietnam‘s experience implementing the Millennium Development Goals. In his presentation, Dung will highlight the importance of building strategic trust to maintain peace and resolve conflicts. His address will also reflect Vietnam’s willingness to enthusiastically contribute to the UN’s work.
