Prime Minister’s visit to France helps boost practical relations

(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung will pay an official visit to France from September 24 to 26 at the invitation of the French Prime Minister Marc Ayrault and President Francois Hollande. Vietnamese Ambassador to France Duong Chi Dung said this visit coincides with the 40th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties: “The visit will be made when Vietnam is proactively implement its foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, international integration, multilateralization and diversification of relations and being a friend and a reliable and responsible partner of the international community. This event marks an important milestone after 40 years of flourishing ties”.

Ambassador Dung said Vietnam and France plan to upgrade ties to a strategic partnership during the Prime Minister’s visit. As a result, Vietnam and France will have more opportunities for people-to-people and sectoral cooperation. In addition, both countries will exchange strategic issues regionally and globally, contributing to world peace, stability, friendship and prosperity.
