Meeting Duong Lam villagers, the President said the Vietnamese Family Day is a meaningful occasion to honor family values and is an occasion for Vietnamese people to remember their roots and their beloved ones and promote fine values of the nation.

Mr. Lam said he hopes Duong Lam villagers will show a high sense of responsibility in maintaining and promoting traditional customs, practices, family traditions and local heritages to introduce to the world the typical traditional rural cultures in the north of Vietnam.

“Our predecessors have left us valuable legacies and traditions. We, the next generations, must take the responsibility to maintain and preserve the customs and lifestyle in each family. Once our families are prosperous and happy, the whole village will be happy. Villages are happy, the whole society will prosper,” said President To Lam.
