Professor Minh is the first Vietnamese working in natural sciences and technology to be awarded the most prestigious distinction of the French State.

The noble honor also recognizes the contributions made by the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology in promoting sustainable cooperation activities with many research and higher education institutions in France.
