Program on paying debt of gratitude to war veterans
(VOVworld) – The Vietnam War Veterans’ Association and the Vietnam Veteran Business Association held a program on paying debts of gratitude to comrades in arms in Hanoi on Sunday. The event was in anticipation of the War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day July 27.

National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan attended the program and presented flowers and gifts to heroic mothers, heroes of the armed forces and labor heroes. The audience was told touching stories about soldiers who fought for national liberation are now continuing to contribute to economic development, setting an example for others to follow suit. The program honored war veterans who bravely fought the enemy in war time and overcome difficulties to achieve business results during the current process of international integration.
President of the Vietnam War Veterans’ Association Nguyen Van Duoc called on philanthropists and business people to help war veterans who are still living a difficult life.
