Propaganda poster exhibition honours President Ho Chi Minh

(VOVWORLD) - A propaganda poster exhibition, highlighting President Ho Chi Minh’s life and career, opened at the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Hanoi on Friday.

The exhibition which will run until October 10 and is part of the activities marking the 50th anniversary of the implementation of President Ho Chi Minh's Testament and his 129th birthday on May 19.

Vu Manh Ha, the Museum’s Director, said: “This is the first time the Ho Chi Minh Museum, the Vietnam National History Museum, and the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum have jointly organized such an event. Approximately 60 propaganda posters owned by the three museums are on display. The exhibits are divided into four parts with respective themes: ‘Ho Chi Minh – Vietnamese nation’s soul’, ‘Ho Chi Minh – a talented military strategist and poet’, ‘Uncle Ho – a great love’, and ‘President Ho Chi Minh lives forever.”

On the occasion, a publication entitled ‘Ho Chi Minh’s portrait – Perspective from propaganda posters’, was released, consisting of posters and articles pubished from 1969 to 2011.
