(VOVworld)-President Truong Tan Sang has praised contribution by the prosecution sector in crime prevention and fostering social order.

He was speaking at a meeting in Hanoi on Tuesday to review the sector’s performance and map out tasks for this year. The President calls for more effort to ensure successful judicial reform: “The prosecution service needs to take more determined action in ensuring compliance of law in all judicial stages and detect any legal infringement. It must cooperate closely with investigating agency in the processing of crime related information. Failure to chase perpetrators or misappropriate sentencing will hurt people’s trust in legal protection agencies.”

The President asked the prosecuracy sector to comment on draft amendment to the 1992 Constitution  while ensuring a consistent and transparent legal system with people’s supervision in judicial activities.
