(VOVworld) - A Russian state polling agency has announced the results of its public survey on the threshold of Russia ’s 2012 presidential election. According to All-Russian Center for the Study of Public Opinion (VTsIOM), nearly  60% of the respondents supported Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, indicating he would likely win the election. Putin was followed by Communist Party leader Gennady Zyuganov, who enjoyed a support rate of 15 percent.
Russia’s 2012 presidential election is scheduled to take place early next month with 5 candidates. Putin will possibly win right from the first round thanks to his reputation in management over the past years.
