(VOVworld) – A number of travel agents of Quang Binh and other provinces across Vietnam gathered Monday at a seminar entitled “Phong Nha – Ke Bang, the kingdom of caves” in Ho Chi Minh city.

The seminar aimed at promoting the Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park, a popular destination in Quang Binh province. Covering an area of more than 123 thousand hectares, Phong Nha - Ke Bang now has about 300 caves, the huge system of underground rivers, and diverse fauna and flora. Hoang Hai Van is Deputy Director of the Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park: "Phong Nha – Ke Bang, known as the kingdom of caves, is among the greatest potentials for Quang Binh province. We are working to diversify the tourism products, from mass tourism to expedition and adventure tours."
The number of tourists coming to Quang Binh province surged drastically in the past years. It tripled from one million in 2013, to 3 million last year.
