(VOVworld) – A Vietnamese returnee from Liberia, who voluntarily entered the quarantine area at Ho Chi Minh City’s Tropical Diseases Hospital, was discharged on Friday because he had no fever symptom.

To prevent the spread of the Ebola virus to Vietnam, the Ho Chi Minh City Pasteur Institute has assigned 6 rapid-response teams, each containing 6 members, to support localities. The institute has designed a new testing procedure which will take only 6 hours at maximum to get a result. The new procedure was submitted to the World Health Organization for official approval before its application in Vietnam.
