Religions exist harmoniously in Vietnam

(VOVworld) - Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Tong Thi Phong hosted a reception for a US delegation led by Elder Jeffrey R. Holland, a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Monday in Hanoi.

She told Mr. Holland that Vietnam was a multi-religious country where people from different religious groups live in harmony. The Vietnamese Government creates conditions for people to practice their religions in accordance with the law while encouraging them to engage in social activities and build a better life.
She expressed her hope that Mr. Holland would contribute to improving the relationship between Vietnam and the US.
