Republic of Korea identifies MERS-affected hospitals

(VOVworld) – The Republic of Korea has identified 24 hospitals affected by the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome amid growing concerns over the virus.

Speaking to the media on Sunday, Acting Prime Minister Choi Kyung Hwan said revealing these hospitals is an unavoidable move to ensure people’s interest and safety. The Health and Welfare Ministry reported 14 more MERS patients and one additional fatality as of Sunday morning, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 64 and the country’s death toll from the virus to five.
