(VOVworld) – A requiem for war martyrs and soldiers who defended Hoang Sa archipelago was held from May 23-25 on Ly Son island district.
The requiem is the time for Buddhist dignitaries and followers and people to pay tribute to soldiers on Hoang Sa and convey a message affirming Vietnam’s sovereignty over Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos. Most Venerable Thich Tam Duc, head of the requiem’s organizing board said the event is dedicated to war martyrs who laid down their lives to defend national sovereignty.
