(VOVworld) – The General Statistics Office (GSO) released the results of a 2015 socio-economic survey of Vietnam’s 53 minorities on Thursday.

According to the survey, 81.9 percent of Vietnam’s laborers working in the agriculture, forestry, and aquaculture sectors are of ethnic minorities. Infrastructure has improved in many ethnic localities, with new roads to hamlets and villages, new medical clinics, and new cultural houses. Nearly 94 percent of the surveyed families have electricity from the national grid, two-thirds have access to radio, and about 90 percent are able to watch TV.
