(VOVworld) – The UN sustainable development summit or Rio+20 in Brazil has ended. The 3-day summit reached important agreements, including world leaders pledging 513 billion USD to step up global sustainable development. They also reach a consensus on a final text called “Future We Want” which called on the world to implement number of activities such as targeting sustainable development goals, concretizing mode of green economy, and developing strategy of funding sustainable development. The final text also focuses on improving gender equality, acknowledging the importance of voluntary commitment of sustainable development, and highlighting the demand of social organizations’ participation.

The summit also made a number of commitments, including planting 100 green trees, empowering 5,000 businesswomen in green economic businesses in Africa and recycling 800,000 tones of PVC annually.
