This was the 20th and last protest of Anti-Park protesters in Gwanghwamun Square, after 5 months of weekly demonstrations. They demanded the arrest of Park Geun-hye and the ouster of acting president Hwang Kyo-ahn, who played a central role in the Park administration and refused to extend an independent investigation into the scandal. Protesters proceeded towards the presidential office, the Blue House, where Park is currently staying despite her dismissal. Meanwhile, her supporters demonstrated at the nearby Deoksu palace to ask the Constitutional Court to dismiss its judgment. Protesters said they will establish a new political party to restore justice, law, and democracy.
