In addition to the highly praised events from previous festivals, including the welcoming performance, paintings, photography, calligraphy, royal games and dances, this year’s Imperial Night also included the “Ancient Hue Memories Through Antiques” exhibition, the performance, "Memoirs of Imperial Concubines", and the an installation. Director of the Hue Relics Preservation Centre Phan Thanh Hai said: "Activities of the Imperial Nights have been researched and restored since 2006, and after every Hue festival, changes and adjustments are made. This year, we also had shows of traditional costumes of different ethnics across the country, royal banquets and art performances. The night also simulated the life of eunuchs, maids, and guards on patrols in the royal palaces."
