(VOVworld) - Ten Russian paratroopers captured inside Ukraine nearly one week ago have returned home following a troop exchange, Russian media reported.

Early Sunday, the 10 paratroopers were handed over to Russian authorities at the Nekhoteyevka border crossing. Russia in turn returned some 63 Ukrainian soldiers that had crossed onto its territory on Wednesday to flee fighting that intensified during the past week.

In another development, Russia’s second humanitarian convoy of 280 trucks was ready to head to the border area with Ukraine. Russia’s Deputy Minister of Defense Anatoly Antonov said, according to non-governmental organizations and enterprises, it is necessary to have two or more such convoys to eastern Ukraine.
