The commission's head Andrey Klimov said barriers created by Ukrainian authorities for Russian citizens, who wanted to take part in the election, could be regarded as attempted interference in the vote.

President Vladimir Putin received support of the absolute majority of Russians eligible to vote, namely, over 76 percent of votes with information from 99.5 percent of polling stations processed, according to the Russian Central Election Commission (CEC).
