Russia: President Putin delivers state of the nation address

(VOVworld)- Russian President Vladimir Putin delivered his 10th state of the nation address on Thursday at the Grand Kremlin Palace, the 20th in Russia’s history.

The Russian leader highlighted some important points in Russia’s domestic and foreign policies. Domestically, Moscow needs to continue strengthening its geopolitical position and defense potential to safeguard national security and territorial integrity. President Putin said that Russia does not accept outside imposition and does not intend to set conditions on its partners. He said modern world requires Russian responsibility not only as a factor to ensure world peace but also a nation to protect regulations of international relations. He affirmed Russia’s efforts to protect international law in the interest of national sovereignty, independence and self-determination of all nations in the world.
