(VOVworld) - Russia is sincerely seeking to restore and develop relations with Turkey, President Vladimir Putin has said, emphasizing that the intention is mutual.

At a meeting with Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev in Sochi on Tuesday, Mr. Putin said the visit of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Russia on August 9 has shown that there is mutual commitment to cultivating and promoting bilateral relations. Mr. Nursultan Nazarbayev expressed his delight at the development of Moscow-Ankara relations and stressed Russia’s important role in the world arena, especially in addressing the world’s complicated issues such as terrorism.
