Russia, Turkey conduct military joint patrol mission in Syria’s al-Hasakah

(VOVWORLD) - Russia’s news agency TASS has reported that Russian and Turkish servicemen on Saturday conducted a regular joint patrol mission in Syria’s al-Hasakah governorate as the memorandum of understanding adopted on October 22, 2019.

According to the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Opposing Parties in Syria, the regular joint patrol has taken place along the following route: Delawi-Kara to Shamsiyah and then return.

Russian military police also conducted separate patrols in Syria's Hasakah and Aleppo province while Russian air force patrolled from Qamishli airport.

According to the Russian reconciliation center, no shelling attacks by Turkey-controlled armed groups were reported in Syria’s Idlib de-escalation zone during the past day. The ceasefire that was declared in the Idlib zone under the Russian-Turkish agreements from March 6, 2020 is being observed.
