A Russian warplane attaching Islamic State (IS) targets in Syria, mistakenly hit a building in the town of Al-Bab where Turkish soldiers were stationed, killing 3 and injuring 11.
In a phone conversation, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his condolences to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for the "tragic" accident, according to a Kremlin statement. Valery Gerasimov, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, expressed his condolences to his Turkish counterpart in a separate phone conversation. The two sides agreed to coordinate more closely in the fight against terrorism in Syria.
