Peskov said the Russian air force carried out the bombing based on the coordinates provided by the Turkish army, adding that it was an unintended airstrike.
Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Numan Kurtulmus said the incident was the result of faulty coordination in Syria, and there is a need for a much closer coordination between Russia and Turkey.
